To body builders or trainers,
Hello, i am a male 23 studying medicine. I have been going to gym for slightly more than 2 years and i didnt have a schedule. today i scribbled one out. can u give some opinion. monday biceps, tuesday lower limbs(squat,hamstring and quadriceps), wednesday triceps, thursday free, friday shoulder(deltoid and trapezius), saturday back(lower and upper), sunday chest. every time 30min to 1 hour workout. just 3 or 4 types of exercises for one muscle and 3 to 4 sets for each type of exercise with interval of 30 seconds to 2 min between each set.

Congratulations for studying medicine since it is such a noble calling that requires hours of intense study. My 25 year old daughter just graduated and starts her residency on Monday and most Doctors she knows are limited in time as she is and do full body workouts 2-3 times per week with cardio on off days. Remember the Law of Individual Differences so as to find a workout routine that works for you at this time in your life. The schedule you put down sounds quite feasible to me. Good Luck !

Mr Georgemyers, thanks for your reply and heartiest congratulation to your daughter. Actually, i dont think i can follow my schedule strictly. You are right that we have limited time. So, i can only spend more time during the weekends. On weekdays, i will try to limit my gym sessions to half an hour by doing biceps and and triceps. It is quite funny how i started doing gym. Initially, i just went to gym to sweat out without any guidance and experience. so i just do whatever that is safe and usually i would just use the stations to do whole body exercise. Out of curiosity i started trying bench pressing and what the huge guys do. I progress with their advice and i am a little addicted to it. Now i think my only problem is squating. I cant do it properly so i just ended up using the station. It's easier to sit and push than to stand and squat. Oh ya, I altered my schedule a little.
