Too many rows

Can doing rows too often cause biceps tendinitis? I thought it was caused from too much pressing but I cut my rowing down to on day this week and the soreness in the front of my shoulders is significantly less.

It's not caused by rows.

It's not caused by rows. It's caused by the length-tension relationship between the heads of the bicep and the potential adhesion buildup at the origin in the shoulder or insertion at the elbow with causing irritation with the brachialis.

A.R.T. (www.activerelease.com) is always a good idea, but I cured mine one time by simply changing grips.

I suddenly developed it once and could not figure out why. Looked at my training log, I had been performing pronated and semi-supinated curls for over a year. Changed to regular supinated straight bar curls, problem corrected itself within 3 workouts. Most people will have the exact opposite problem, too mush supinated curling.

Now, because of lack of variation, or simply the point where it hurts, you may feel it during rows, but rows per se are not the culprit, but perhaps grip variation in rows is.
