SSB is as good as Doc said :-)

Doc,

Everything you said about the safety squat bar in your book "Power: A Scientific Approach" is true. I wish I would have added this tool into my training arsenal a long time ago when I first read about it. I’m about 4 workouts in with it and all your listed benefits are very evident. One you didn’t mention that I have found is setup is a lot easier. The bar is always perfectly centered and balanced on your back which seems to be making my setup, walkout and foot placement a lot faster and easier. Another thing I really like is I feel a whole lot more muscle strain (the good kind) in my obliques and abs during the lift.

Any ways I just felt compelled to thank you for the great advice. I recently hurt my arm and if it wasn’t for remembering this alternative you outlined in your book I would be squatless right now.

Lenny
