o/t: Yukon, did you get married yet?

Vaughn Numrych's picture

Hey Yukon! Sorry, I lost track of this completely but didn't you post in one your training logs that you were getting married a while back? Actually, I think the reference was to a certain ring that you had purchased for a certain someone. Smiling

Has that come to pass yet?

Vaughn

Yes!

On Sept 20 this year, the woman of my dreams made me the happiest man alive. Life has changed immeasurably for the better. I have the great fortune to not only have found the love of my life, but a woman who loves my two children like they were her own. If you are interested, here is a link to the site with the wedding pictures, click the hyper link on the left side to get to the Lafferty wedding pictures. My daughter was the flower girl, my son was a groomsman, and if you look at them, and at the bride, you will note that they actually look like they are more hers than mine!

CONGRATULATIONS!

That's Awesome - Congratulations and Congratulations again! I'll check out the wedding pictures when I get home, can't get into the site from work. My wife and I just celebrated 22 years this past October - no regrets! Eye-wink

Wow, Looks like you had a GREAT Day!

Tough to tell from picures but is sure looks like you had a beautiful day for the wedding? If you don't mind sharing, where was the ceremony held - looks like a gorgeous spot. I was best man at a fall wedding in Kennebunk Port Maine which had a similar feel but this looks more like a lake than the ocean.

And yes, if nobody said anything I would just assume that the kids were hers and yours. Eye-wink

Congratulations again and best wishes for many happy years together.

Vaughan, the day was

Vaughan, the day was absolutely sublime. It rained the day before, and the day after, but was perfectly clear on the day of the wedding...70 degrees...We held the ceremony at Claytor Lake in SW VA, in the state park there. Outdoor weddings can be chancy, but it worked out perfectly!
