I threw up

Any MMA'ers here who had trouble with conditioning and throwing up when they started? I just barfed up my kidneys for the second time and my Barf Threshold doesn't seem to be changing much.

Edit: This is an honest question. Just realized it read kind of snarky.

That used to happen to me

That used to happen to me when I first started boxing way back when. What are eating before your workouts?

Thank god. I thought I was

Thank god. I thought I was the only guy who couldn't get through a training session without puking. Happened again tonight (><)

I wasn't eating much. I attribute the first time to drinking way too much water. I was crazy thirsty and probably a little hungry when I started. So I concentrated on getting more water in throughout the day to be more hydrated when I got there. Today's class went a little better in that I handled conditioning quite better. I've upped my carb intake which I believe really made a difference. I had BBQ about 2 hours before training, along with a huge bowl of collard greens, red beans and rice, and a salad. Big lunch bu I felt good when I started and puked mostly water when it finally did come time to pay homage to the porcelain prophet.

I have a feeling I'm just out of shape and not stopping before it's too late. I can hack that.

Ya, I think you will be fine

Ya, I think you will be fine after awhile. It shows you are really pushing yourself.

I'm running hills on off days. I still suck at it though.

just an observation

I saw this brought up a while back on another site and the general consensus was, "It's never happened to me so it's not legit"...like the guy was some kind of light weight or doing something stupid before working out...I've come close a few times since I started doing MMA-type bw circuits...the CrossFit folks even have a nickname for it: "Pukie"...

That's too bad. The only thing I've been accused of at my training hall is trying hard. And being on my period. Trying to flip people off while wearing boxing gloves looks funny.
