I'll get a vid in a week or so and would love some comments Doc! You're definitely one who can pin it for me, and I will of course also very appreciate comments from others!!
Until then...
- I'm 5'10 or so.
- Relatively long femurs. Not that long I should think, but relatively.
- naturally/structurally wide hipped
Now, my first question is how to determine proper width of foot stance for BB squats? Your article and other articles often refer to shoulders as a point of reference.." shoulder width" etc. But since the legs attach to the hips as a base should the width of the hip structure not be the starting point (instead of the shoulders), so to speak?
I THINK my anatomy may suggest a stance where I stand a bit wider than many others might tend (tom platz!) and point feet out more...since the goal for the BBer is flexion over the knee and an upright torso stance this may be ok, right?
I'll try and get a vid in a week, but really want to LEARN this as well...not just "get lucky"!! Will really appreciate input Doc.
I've had a shoe guy add a total of 2 centimer to my existing adidas weightlifting shoes. I feel this really helps me...and obviously invovles the quads more..for BODYBUILDING!
