Hey guys
had a little question on the zig zag diet. ok so in our books when we are helping a client let say lose overall bodyweight. some days you go up in cals obv. and some days are down hense zig zag but heres where my question is. in the book it says to either ad or subtract calories based on lean muscle mass.. but it doc squats zig zag he says to take overall body weight when adding or subtracting 2 calories per bodyweight? which one is correct? because its a big difference in cals when someone weigh 200 but has a low lean body mass?
thanks!
zig zag
i myself use the over all weight do to if a client is activly working out and doing aerobic and cardio. The energy being burned still needs the caloiric intake to suport the musle break down so that the body heals and maintains the lean body mass.

I'm not so sure it matters.
I'm not so sure it matters. You still consume the same number of calories in the week. I think it just keeps the metabolism guessing. So I beleive either method would have the same outcome from what I understand.
not sure it matters
however i do believe it matter's due to while a client is loosing the weight the caloric intake changes thierfore new adjustments need to be made cause the change of calories that the client will need changes. and yes that is so that the matabolism continues to stay peaked.
