Do you use anything on your joints prior to lifting that helps you warm up and keep your joints from cooling down? Elite sells BLUE HEAT, JACKS HOT PINK and EQUI-BLOCK. Anyone tried those or others??
I remember the good Doctor talk about how those just increase the blood flow to the skin. Anyone want to chime in on this?

I've used the blue heat from elite, my training partner uses it all the time. and my chiro uses some other stuff on my lower back once in awhile. The blue heat is good, vet. stuff
Honestly, I have tried about 6 sports rubs (and tiger balm) and the best was from this company called Shaklee. Sometimes the companies you never hear about are the best because they are not out there to make money but to provide a great product.

I agree, there may be a younger impresionable kid named Ben out there that may think he's being told to go to the gym in pink legwarmers to reduce thigh cellulite.

Only when i have a minor injury.I sometimes use deepheat on my elbows and knees and cover them with elbow/knee wraps.
I like "Sports Balm" made by Meuller. It isn't super strong, but is strong enough. It is also water based so it works pretty quick. Oil based ones don't work fast enough. It also doesn't smell horrible. They add a peppermint smell to it. Works wonders on my adductors before squatting. Without it I cramp and tend to have slight muscle pulls from time to time. With it all is well.
Cramer sells a hot liniment called Atomic Balm (love that name!) as well as some other related products: http://www.cramersportsmed.com/products_catalog.jsp?catID=107&prodID=160...
A few years ago weightlifters were raving about a hot liniment from Hungary called Nicoflex; IronMind started to sell it, and still does: http://ironmind-store.com/Nicoflex-50-gram-Tube/productinfo/1267/
I bought a tube and it didn't do much for me; I lent it to a fellow lifter with younger, fairer skin, and it burned the hell out of him. I guess it's very skin-type sensitive.
I used to use Heet liniment on my back before deadlifting; then I stopped and it didn't seem to make any difference. I don't know who makes Heet, but it's still widely available.

Liniments...Ben Gay...Tiger Balm???
Salicilate!! BURNY REACTY SIDE EFFECTY!!
Linament
Use the Blue Heat..I love it...Warms the joint areas and helps elleviate the pain. I strongly recommend it.
Liniments...Ben Gay...Tiger Balm???
These things give the sensation of warmth, as a skin irritation, but do not acutally warm up the muscle or joints.
However relief is relief, but do not mistake it as a way to reduce a proper warm up for injury prevention.
Liniments...Ben Gay...Tiger Balm???
blue heat is off the chizzaaaaaaaaain. buy it, and if you have lots of money, snag me another two bottles.
Liniments...Ben Gay...Tiger Balm???

I just keep moving. Light
I just keep moving.
Light cuff exercises between shoulder related,
Petersons between leg work.
But to actually get a heat source inside the joint?
Maybe D.M.S.O. and cayenne pepper?
Success is how high you bounce when you hit bottom.
