I like the fact that you don't waste much time with endless sets of warm-ups.
Just slap another 100 lb plate on each side and get down to business.

Take it for what its worth Jeff...I do the walk outs (overloads) for squats as well, I love them, but I found myself getting carried away. I think 5%-10% ove ryour squat max is very effective, maybe even a little more, but about a year ago i got so into it i worked up to about 765lbs (squat max around 550 in gear) and promptly cracked a rib on the backside fo the ribcage, and the swelling created a band of pain around my upper back and chest that kept me out of the gym for over a month. Moderation..I say this cause reading over your workout I can imagine you creeping up like I did.

6:00pm third time was a charm,first 2x's could not get started.
I"am doing the ED Coan peaking cycle for squat.
first 4 weeks i used my raw pr,2nd 4 weeks used last meet pr[540] and last 6 week added another 35lbs to max [575] week 14 is 639lb 1x1. so far good results.

Looks like you're getting consistent in the shirt. I remember your struggles with it and opening raw at meets. You should wrap both wrists though. If you work on your setup/technique, you'll get another 30-40 lbs.

Re: your squat warm-ups.
I think you're on the right track when you mentioned cutting them back some.
Seems like the sets at 135 & 475 could be cut out completely so you'd be sticking with 90 lb jumps. 245, 335, 425, 515 and then your work sets.
And maybe ease back on the number of reps. (I would say that since I consider anything over three as cardio work). Something like 245x3, 335x3, 425x2, 515x1.
The early sets aren't the workout, just something to get you warm and ease the transition to the weight of your work sets.
Just some thoughts, of course. You know what works best for you (and you do squat about 200 lbs more than me) Keep up the good work.

Marcus: the reason I dont wrap rt. wrist it that it is fused and does not bend back at all and forward maybe 1inch[look at video you can see].You were right on with the fury shirt, P/U two[ meet & comp] fits.I still might open up raw at masters.

Opening raw isn't bad. You can also wear the looser shirt to open and switch shirts. You have enough time between attempts to do that. Some guys take their shirt on and off every attempt to tweak it. That way they can set it up tighter for each attempt.

Don't sweat it. You'll do fine at meet time.
There's still plenty of training/tune up time left.
You know I'm gonna say it.
I think you might want to drop two or three of your warm up sets.
Try going 245, 335, 425, 475.. or 225, 315, 405, 455, 495.
Save some gas for the big one.

So I think what you guys are saying is less is more as far as warm ups,especially at the end of a peaking cycle when the work sets are very HEAVY and over 100% of your max.

My pre-meet ritual is to scope out a place to set up camp the night before and then avoid the venue until the absolute last minute.
On meet day I'm such a bundle of nerves, if I watch the lifting I get really jittery and my lifts suffer. So, I find a quiet place to wait & visualize.
That being said if we get there early enough I'll be glad to help you out.
(It's funny, sitting here just thinking about the meet has my stomach churning. Wish I was one of those cool, confident characters.)

The fact that the camera is slightly tilted makes it a little hard to gauge.
Your third rep looks the best and you're handling the weight easily.
I've always heard that the judges at big meets are picky as all get out, you may want to try for a little extra rather than leave anything to chance.
I had my wife video my squats last week and I looked high. That's why I did lighter squats this week. Trying to sit a little deeper.

I think you'll have to be a little deeper for USAPL. Just push your knees out a little more. You handled it for 3 reps easy, so going a little deeper shouldn't hurt your power.
