hi,
i just started doing deadlifts off about a 3 inch platform too ... hard to say exactly what the percentage is but for me the first time i did them i pulled 100kg X 5 with about the same amount of difficulty i did 120kg x 5 off the floor.
i guess tho it really depends on how much back you use when you pull off the floor. if you really get alot of legs into your normal pull, you should be much better off the platform than someone who pulls with alot of back (at least i think anyways)

I think you're about right that's roughly what I pulled.
100x 5 off the platform I have lowered the platform by half now to 1.5 inches.
Pulling off a platform, not rocket science
Ok here is what we have had good luck with.
We pull off blocks a couple of ways.
One is standing on a set up of blocks made from 2X4's. This puts you 3 1/2 inches off floor, then add some if you pull in Chuck's.
Next week we pull off floor, but with weights on this set up that puts the plates 4 inches off floor. You can overload real well with that.
Another week we set up the bar in power rack, with plates about 23 inches off floor, and stand on the blocks. We hit a weight then add chains to the bar. Really taxes the CNS and you get strong through the length of the pull.
By varying like this we have had great results. My partner has pulled 776 and damn near locked out 804 and is drug free.
